Relay for Life
Friday night, I participated in my first Relay for Life, ever. I have to admit, I enjoyed myself. The opening ceremonies began around 7 and we were to perform our clogging routine at about 7:30. We were clogging for a cure! After much hussle and bussle, we got all the groups together, practiced for a minute (I messed up twice!!), and then lined up to perform. The little ones (3, 4, and 5 year olds) went first. They were adorable! I thought they did an awesome job for only have been dancing for about 3 months. Then, the elementary aged girls went on. Their dance was cute and they seemed to really enjoy themselves. Finally, it was the adult team's turn. The teenagers were dancing with us. We started dancing and sure enough, I messed up exactly where I had messed up when we were practicing! Ugh! Oh well! I'm going to post the video, see if you can tell that I messed up. {See video in next post!}
I also bought and decorated a luminary bag. This bag was in memory of my Papaw, who passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer last March. It took me two laps around to find his bag and when I did, I had to stop to take pictures of it all lit up. He is one of many that lost their battle to cancer. I feel good that I did something to help the American Cancer Society, maybe in the near future, they will find the cure for cancer.
Thirty-One
I had a Thirty-One meeting Saturday at my Director's house in Greenwood. On the way there, I stopped by CVS to pick up an ice cream topping, since our theme was "Scoop up Success". The topping I chose was Reese's Pieces. Who doesn't love them? Anywho! The cashier loved my purse (The Thirty-One Skirt Purse) an asked where I got it. This struck up a conversation about Thirty-One, which led to me giving her a catalog. She is now thinking about signing up to be a Thirty-One consultant herself. I am so very excited about all the opportunities that await me with Thirty-One. This month, I will promote to Senior Consultant. Thanks to my two recruits, Jessica and Andrea, who have both become qualified consultants.
After going to my meeting, I am feeling very energized to book my summer parties! I know there are some of you out there in this virtual world that want to book a party! (Or maybe become a consultant?)

So much to update....
Hello Virtual World!!!
I know you all have missed my unfiltered ramblings. So, I'm back!
There's a lot you have missed! First things first, a good friend of mine has had her baby! Clifton Davis was born on April 28, 2010. He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. and was 18 1/4 in. long. Let me just tell you, he's adorable! I'm stealing a picture off the proud mama's Facebook page since she hasn't sent me the picture she took of me and Davis. I really don't know why she hasn't gotten around to sending me that picture, it's not like she has anything else to do. HAHA!
When she gets me the picture, I promise to post it! For now, this cute little picture will have to do.
Next! As all of you know, I'm doing a long term subbing position right now in third grade. So, on May 3, we went to the State Capitol to see first hand all the state history we had been talking about. Then, we headed over to Riverbanks Zoo for a fast paced speed tour. We were in and out of the zoo in about an hour and 15 minutes! Whew!
That's all the pictures I have to update right now. Hopefully, with school winding down and summer break quickly approaching, I will be able to update more often!

Day ???
I've lost track of the days.
Yesterday was a nice day. We planted a nice big garden at Michael's. Hopefully, we'll get some nice summertime veggies! As many of you know by now, I love to cook. So, last night for supper, I made Teriyaki chicken, hot cole slaw, grilled pineapple, and honey glazed biscuits. The biscuits were my new invention, and let me tell you, they were YUMMO! I used Pilsbury biscuits, but you could make your own from scratch if you wish. Then, when they were fresh out of the oven, I drizzled my honey glaze over the top. They melted in your mouth. So, I have a picture of my fantabulous biscuits to share with you.
