Just another day...

Hello Virtual World! I promise that I will get back to my Project 365. I may need a little motivation, but it will happen. All that to say that I don't have a picture to post again today. Sorry! You will be delighted to know that today was a much better day than yesterday. I called my insurance company back and it is not for sure that my rate will go up, so that's a relief. It still burns my booty that the low life is going to get money out of this when her car was barely touched. I really wish I would have taken a picture of this to share with y'all. Anywho...I'm not getting off on that tangent again.

I do have a story to share...I know how all of you just love my stories. This story isn't necessarily about me, but about something I saw while shopping at the Dollar General in McCormick. If any of you know McCormick, you know our shopping places are limited to Food Lion, Dollar General, and Family Dollar. I had already hit up Family Dollar and didn't find what I was looking for, so I was at Dollar General looking for the colorful containers I needed. You will be happy to know I found them! :) I was standing in the checkout line when the lady in front of me asked the cashier if they carry pregnancy tests. The cashier said yes and asked which one she would like. Evidently they keep these behind the counters just in case someone were to come in and think they could leave with one without paying, like that would ever happen right? HA! So the lady in front of me replied by saying, "The dollar one." Really?! They make a pregnancy test that is only $1. ONE DOLLAR!!! Is that thing really going to tell you the truth? All of this is going through my mind while she hands the cashier her $1.07 (You have to give Uncle Sam his portion). Then my mind drifts to what this lady's life might be like. Did she have a one night stand several weeks ago and has now missed her monthly friend? Does she have a steady boyfriend and they had a slip up? Is she getting the pregnancy test for someone else? By the way she was acting, I don't think that would be true. She was acting ashamed, like she was trying to hide embarrassment or a dirty secret. I didn't think to look for a ring. Why is it that one of our first thoughts is that we must look for a ring? Is it really bad to have a child out of wedlock? No, I don't think so. I know a few awesome parents that are single parents. Then, I know some that just don't seem to have their priorities straight. Child comes first, then your social life. On the flip side of the coin...do I think you should get married or stay together just for a baby? No. This situation will make everyone involved miserable, even the poor child that did not have a choice to be brought into it. Babies, and children, and precious and should be treated as such.

By the title of this blog, Jabbering Jenn, I'm sure all of you gathered that it would be the daily ramblings of me. This is today's ramblings. The moral of the story...One dollar pregnancy tests, can you trust them?

I suppose I could share another story that really did happen to me. A student stole from me. It wasn't anything major, just a package of M&M's, but it disappointed me. Why would she think she would have to steal from me? Doesn't it start with M&M's and move to bigger things like going through your wallet? I do realize that some children just seem to get off track for a few moments and just need a little nudge to get back on the right track. Hopefully I gave her that nudge and tomorrow will be a better day. Anywho...my school day ended on that disappointing note.

Until tomorrow's ramblings...
This is my wonderful life.

Jennifer and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

I have no picture to share today because I basically have not been in the picture taking mood for a few days now. Nothing seems to be going my way. But what else is new, right? More of the monsoon coming down on me.

First of all it is likely that I will not have a teaching job next year. So what do I do? All I've ever wanted to do is teach school. I stood at the white board today thinking, Wow! I've been doing this since I was in first grade. I'm ready for my own classroom full of little minds to mold. Then, it hit me like a ton of bricks, the words I never wanted to hear, "Jennifer, you will not have a job next year." This statement was followed by a false sense of hope that nothing is written in stone right now. Should I take a job that pays less than half of what I would be paid as a teacher? Do I look into another line of work? How will I survive another year?

These frustrations were taken even further when I got home and low and behold, the low life that hit me, or as the Police Report said, I hit her, has filed a claim on my insurance. Really?! Your car is rusted, your bumper is bent to pieces barely hanging on, the colors of all the parts of your car seem to be different, and you want my insurance to fix a scrape that is not as bad as the scrape on my car? My brand new 2008 Scion TC. Really?! We are living in the world of people wanting something for nothing. Does she think that she is going to get a new car out of this? The age of Obama...taking this country to hell in a handbasket.

I seem to have the worst luck.

Once again, this is my not so wonderful life.

Slacked off a bit...Now I'm catching up

Hello Virtual World! Long time no type! I've been meaning to update my blog. I really, truly have. I hope all of my virtual viewers out there can forgive me for leaving you hanging with the goings on in my life. I know you are sitting on pins and needles to find out what I've been up to this week. So the wait is over...here goes...

Amber made my day on Thursday with her outfit. She made me giggle! Plaid and Stripes...who does this? Amber! I even took a picture to share with all of you! It reminds me of the days when my mom dressed me in stripes and polka dots...it's just wrong to mix patterns like this. You can't tell in the picture, but she actually has plaid earrings on, too. Go ahead, you all may laugh out loud. I know I did! Seeing Amber walking down the hall, you are guaranteed a smile, no matter how bad your day may have been! Thanks, Amber!

Friday, I had a Thirty-One party. For those of you who don't know, I sell Thirty-One products. It's an amazing company to work for. I earn my extra money by partying! How do you earn yours? Want to join my team to make a few extra bucks? Let me know! You can check out my website to view our products, customer specials, or hostess specials. www.mythirtyone.com/jenniferpearce My party was great. I love going to my Thirty-One parties. It gives me a chance to socialize with adults and meet new people. You don't have to live around here to have a party either! I can send you a hostess packet and you can have a catalog party. By being a hostess, you can take advantage of the month's hostess special, you can earn FREE items, and you can earn half price items!

For hosting a $500 party (which is really easy to do!) The hostess can get the Cindy Tote (Retail Value of $68) for only $34, the Weekender Tote (Retail Value of $72) for only $36, and the Super Sassy Sac (Retail Value of $54) for only $27. Then, on top of all those awesome savings...the hostess can get the Large Utility Tote (Retail Value of $29.50), the Thermal Tote (Retai Value of $14), the Wristlet Wallet (Retail Value of $10), the Zipper Pouch (Retail Value of ($12), and the Coin Purse (Retail Value of $10) for FREE!!! All of these great products would only cost the hostess $97.50 plus tax; whereas, the retail value is $269.50 plus tax and shipping! Check out this picture of all the stuff you could get!

Now that I have given you all my Thirty-One spill...on to other things in my life...
This was my first week taking over for a teacher that had her baby on Monday. Andrew was born Monday at about 4:30PM. He weighed 8 lbs. 15 oz. and was 21 inches long. I went to visit Michelle yesterday to fill her in on grades and plans and all that other teacher jargin. However, the real reason I was there was to see precious little Andrew. He really is a doll. For those of you that know me, I have not been around babies too much. The last baby to be born into my family was when I was about 9 and some of my friends are just now starting families. Anywho...Michelle joked about me needing to change his diaper since I have NEVER changed a baby's diaper in my life. I'd like to keep it that way for a little while, at least. So, I graciously declined the offer. I did watch, so I did get a lesson on changing a little boy's diaper. You definitely have to watch out for that fountain! Andrew does not like to be naked so as soon as Michelle undressed his bottom, he started crying. As soon as she got his footsies back into his little outfit, he calmed right back down. Then, we went out on the deck so she could give him his bottle in the nice, warm sun. After the bottle was empty (he's definitely a healthy eater), Michelle handed him over to me. Ahhhh! Holding a new born! Andrew and I sat in the sun together for I know at least 30 minutes. But, to tell you the truth, I think I could have sat there forever. His soft baby skin and baby smell is like heaven. I am ready for Stephanie, a close friend of mine, to have Clifton Davis! She is due May 3rd. I might, just might, practice my diaper changing skills on that little guy! We'll see, I'm not promising anything!

After spending time with Andrew, I went to Greenwood and checked out Burkes Outlet, a new store that moved into the old Goodies building. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would have liked in there because I spent so much time with Andrew, but that's ok! I found some cute coasters with a P on them for outside on our deck for the summertime!

After my short venture into Greenwood, I made my way to Calhoun Falls for a Thirty-One team meeting. My GPS (Her name is Gigi, just fyi) kept telling me to turn on these roads that did not look like roads at all, they looked like someone's gravel driveway. So, I refused to turn down these roads, which upsets Gigi and she begins her "Recalculating..." routine. Anywho...I got on a road that was a road and she told me that I had arrived at my destination, but the house did not look like the house we should be meeting at. I was thankful to have cell phone service out in the middle of nowhere! So, I called Ashley, who had no idea where she was going either, but she did have Kayla's phone number, this is the girl that's hose we were going to. I called Kayla and she got me back on the right track and I made it to the meeting not too terribly late.

Later today, my plans are to go to Nicole's house, see my babies (Emily and Connor), and do some clogging! We learned the first part of our dance Wednesday, now we need to practice so we'll have it down by this coming Wednesday so we can learn more of our dance. Our song is Southern Voices by Tim McGraw. LOVE IT!

I'm hoping not to stay away as long next time...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 16

I have really been bad. I haven't taken any pictures the last couple of days because I've been super busy as a classroom teacher. On top of being a classroom teacher, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday I'm at school until 5:30 teaching after school. Anywho...all that to say this...I don't have a picture that I took today, but I'm going to share a picture of me with my daddy several years ago.

My dad passed away on June 8, 2007. This was a day that we didn't see coming at all. Without warning, my daddy simply did not wake up the next morning. He took his final breath while laying in bed with my mom. I had cooked my daddy his final meal. I have no been able to fix that meal since that day. It's called German Rouladen. It used to be one of those meals that I craved. You take breakfast steaks, beat them with a meat tenderizer. Spread spicy mustard on one side. Put a slde of bread and butter pickle and a few pieces of sweet onion. Roll up and insert toothpicks to hold. Then, you fry them until they are cook through. You serve with mashed potatoes and three bean salad. I can picture myself making this meal, not knowing that it would be my daddy's last. Maybe one day I will get my taste for this meal back, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

The picture I'm going to share with you is a picture of my daddy and I on a family vacation to Panama City, FL. We were playing Putt-Putt, and being so young, I was just gaining my skills for the game. Daddy was helping me. This seems to be such a simple picture, but it truly is one of my favorites. You can't see either of our faces, but it is a very special picture to me.

Day 15

Today's pictures were not actually taken today. I had intended for them to be yesterday's post. However, my life just didn't want it that way. So, the pictures today are of my shooting Henrietta. Henrietta is my Henry's Golden Boy 22 Mag Long Rifle that my brother got for me for my 21st birthday. And if you are wondering, yes, I named my gun! I'm a girl, what do you expect? So, I like to get Henrietta out every  now and then and let off some steam by shooting repeatedly at a stationary target. After shooting, it is important to clean your gun so it won't rust and such. I would have continued to shoot; however, I shot every bullet I had. So I think 22 Mag bullets are on the shopping list. Anywho...so I brought Henrietta home and gave her some lovin' by spraying her down with gun oil. All in all, it was a nice afternoon of being a country girl.

Til Tomorrow...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 14

The monsoon continues. Is there no escape for me? I may have been optimistic yesterday, but I don't think I was ready for today's lesson.

Today's lesson: When taking advantage of a gracious citizen that is kind enough to let you out into stand still traffic, it will come back to bite you in the butt.

I was turning left onto a two lane road. The right lane of this road was at a stand still, so I wanted into the left lane, which was wide open. I pulled out into the right lane, looked both ways (even though it was a one way road), it was clear. No one coming. Then, as I pulled into the left lane...WHAM! Here comes a beat up old hunk of junk. Well, this description may lead you to believe that my car and her's are seriously messed up. I hopped out of my car, and thank goodness, it was just scuffed a bit on my front bumper. Nothing that a little TLC and some paint wouldn't take care of. Well, I go back into the parking lot from once I came and the other driver sits there in traffic, leading me to believe her car is really messed up. Not the case. Yes, her bumper is scuffed, as is mine, but not as bad as mine. You can barely tell I did anything to her hunk of junk. The sheriff showed up and decided I was at fault since I failed to yield to oncoming traffic, which I did but there was no one there! Anywho...to make a long story short, I suppose she's going to try to get her a new vehicle out of my insurance company. Ugh.

My car's minor injuries.

Oh...and evidently, I'm a bad friend. Me! The person that would jump in front of a moving bus to help a friend. The one that goes above and beyond the normal call of duty. The person that is always there, no matter what time, no matter what is on her own agenda. If a friend needs me, I'm there. Yet, I'm a bad friend and have no business calling myself someone's best friend. Wow. That was a real revelation for me today. I truly thought I was a good friend to have. Oh well...I suppose this is a warning for all of you virtual viewers out there.

Praying for a drought in my life.

Today, this is my not so wonderful life. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

A Little Cuddle Bug

Spring is here and so is relaxing on the deck in the inviting, warm sunshine! Of course, I couldn't relax alone, so Sophie joined me.

Day 13

I'm not sure how to describe today in a nice way. For those of you that know me personally, you know the story behind what went on today. Back in October 2005, there was an unfortunate incident, in which I will not discuss in detail because this post would never end, that occurred that resulted in my brother spending a couple hours on the other side of the law. Of course, for those of you that know the details, the reasons behind the accusations are ridiculous. So, after over four years, our attorney filed a motion to dismiss the case. Today, that motion was denied and we were informed that this could go on even longer. How disappointing and aggravating.

So many things have happened since that day in October. At the time of the incident, Michael was still healing from his injuries from a serious boating accident that occurred in August 2005. My daddy has since unexpectedly passed away, this was in June 2007. We moved from our beautiful, picturesque lake house on Lake Greenwood to the quiet and serene surroundings of woods in a small town known as Plum Branch. We closed our family owned Hardware store, which we had owned for about 5 years, in McCormick. I graduated from Lander University with my Bachelor's Degree and started working on my Master's Degree through Walden University. Michael has started working on his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. My Papaw (Daddy's Dad) passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Dusty (the dog in the center of this controversial incident) had to be put to sleep because he was in such tremendous pain that he could no longer stand. We've watched our hardware store be taken apart and sold piece by piece. Now, my uncle (Daddy's brother) has been in the hospital for over a week and we still aren't sure what's going on with him. My philosophy these days is "When it rains, it pours". I feel like I've been in a monsoon for almost five years now. When will the drought come?

Today's picture is of the courthouse in which we had to, unfortunately, visit this morning. What a way to spend a beautiful Friday of no school. Ugh.

The dreadful place.

Even though this post seems to be all about bad...not bad...but sad stuff, I do believe my life is wonderful and everything that has happened in my life has made me who I am today; therefore, I will continue to learn from each day's lessons.

Bring on tomorrow's lesson.

This is my wonderful life.

Day 12

Me + Keys to a Classroom + Teacher Edition Textbooks + Gradebook + Lesson Plans = A Teacher's Heaven

Start my long-term subbing position on Monday! I'm ready to go!

I will keep you posted on the goings on in my classroom.
This is my wonderful life.

Day 11

Y'all may think that I am obsessed with my dogs because once again, I have another post about my four legged babies. This time, my post is about Lexi and Sophie. These two girls are crazy! For the most part, I think they like each other; however, sometimes they just seem to want to steer clear of one another. This morning was a time when I think they like each other because they were playing. Sophie is so small so she can fit into pretty much any nook and cranny. Lexi doesn't quite have this luxury, so she tries her best to get to Sophie by swatting her paw. Then, Sophie will run out and Lexi will chase after her. It really is a cute site to see. Today, I was trying to get a picture of them playing. Instead, Lexi jumped on my bed and Sophie followed right behind (Of course, Sophie can't simply jump on the bed. She has to jump on my chair, then onto the table next to the chair, then onto the bed.) So, the picture today is the two of them sitting on my bed after a long and tiring play session. They're really two peas in a pod!

Until tomorrow...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 10

As you all know, my dogs are like members of my family, so I have another picture of Rebel and Dixie for you. They often act like an old married couple, which I guess can be expected because they spend every moment together. Typically, if you see one, the other is not far behind. So, we have two lounge chairs one our back deck. These are like their beds. Remember in the old day when married couples would sleep in separate beds? Well, that's what this seems like to me. They don't seem to have claimed one as their own because sometimes they'll be in the other one's chair. So, I have decided to share a picture of my cute little married dog couple.

Day 9 is Divine!

Everyday when I get home, I am greeted by four smiling faces. Their names are Rebel, Dixie, Lexi, and Sophie. These are my four legged wonderful companions. When I pull into the driveway, I am first greeted with Rebel's loud, welcomng, excited bark. He barks several times as to say "Hey! Where have you been all day?!" Then, as soon as my door opens, Dixie puts her humongous, elephantesque paws in my lap and gives me the sweetest, wettest sugars. After greeting the two outside babies, I rush inside to let Lexi and Sophie, who have been couped up in the house or crate all day, out. Lexi jumps up to give me a "Hey Mom!" hug. Sophie runs around like a mad woman that has just been let out of jail. When we all finally get outside, we play and have fun times for about 10 minutes. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that four precious four legged creatures are waiting for my return back home. I think I failed to mention that Rebel is a black lab, Dixie is a brown lab, Lexi, you know, is a dalmatian, and Sophie is a miniature dachshund.

The best picture I could get of the four of them. They are definitely a crazy clan!

Rebel running from the camera. Why are dogs so camera shy?

My sweet baby. I'm surprised she has her face kind of looking at the camera. If you look closely, she is actually looking out of the corner of her eyes.

Puppy dog kisses!

This is my wonderful life.

Day 8

The truckload of building materials for Michael's new bathroom in his building. Which means...He will be OUT of my bathroom! How wonderful will that day be? It will be AMAZING to have a bathroom all to myself for the first time in my life.
Saturday, March 13, 2010 | By: Jenn

Day 7

Today, my toes escaped from the confines of my closed toe shoes (like my Danskos that I wear daily to school). When I woke this morning, the sun was shining through my window and I knew it would be a beautiful day. So, instead of putting socks and tennis shoes on, I dug my Rainbows out of my closet and slid them on my feet. What a wonderful, summer feeling. I'm so ready for some Spring weather to stick around. As the day progressed, the wind picked up and it got down right cold. So, my toes once again had to go back into hibernation in the cozy confines of my socks.

My feet in the brief moment of freedom.

Toodles til Tomorrow!

This is my wonderful life.

Teaching PE: Day 6

Today was my first time ever teaching PE. I was worried about this one because students just seem to go nuts in PE. I don't work well n chaos, even if it is organized chaos. So, My day began with 1st, then 2nd, and finally 3rd graders. We played Musical Spots (much like musical chairs) and basketball. The day seemed to be going well. After lunch, the dreaded 5th grade came in. As many of you know, my degree is in Early Childhood Education; therefore, 5th grade is a little beyond my comfort zone. Anywho, after only a few rude comments by students who believe they are grown, the class ended and I got some kindergartners! What a relief! I love kindergarten! They're so innocent and sweet (most of the time). My day ended with fourth grade. I wound up with 2 classes in there and they all played basketball. It wasn't very eventful. Needless to say, I was not cut out to be a PE teacher. I thought I would post a picture of my classroom for the day. One positvie thing I could say is it was HUGE! I would love to have a classroom that big! I would be able to fit all of my stuff in there and my brother, Michael, wouldn't complain about having to store it in his building.

This is my wonderful life.

Day 5

I've made it to Day 5 of the Project 365. Only 360 days left. I can do this.

So, I was cleaning out my purse that I carried this past weekend to Anderson to visit Kayla. While digging through all the junk that I have collected, I found my Bingo stuff. I told the virtual world about my first Bingo experience in Day 1's post. Now you can see what it looked like. We played most of the games on a computer-type machine that you just punch the numbers in and the computer searches through 90 cards to see if you have it. Then, it tells you if you have Bingo and all you have to do is yell, "BINGO!" As an addition to the computer games, they sold separate games on the floor. That's what these cards are. My Bingo marker is also there. I bought it for $1 out of the vending machine.

I have found a new love for live action Bingo! I'm currently in search of a Bingo Parlor in Augusta, GA, so I can go again sometime soon. We shall see if my search is successful. If any of you virtual viewers out there know of any or have any recommendations, I'm all ears.

Adios, folks!

This is my wonderful life.

Day 4

Hello Virtual World! Last week, I started adult clogging classes. It has been many years since I have had the opportunity to do a "double step, rock step" in my clogging shoes. The sound was so welcoming. It was like being on a long trip and finally coming home. The steps came back to me naturally. Of course, I had forgotten their names, but I could do them! So, Wednesday nights are my clogging nights. At 8 o'clock every Wednesday evening, I will be dancing my heart out. This is what inspired my picture of the day. What is today? WEDNESDAY! That means I get to go clog tonight.

Picture of the Day
My old clogging shoes look pretty rough. However, they still fit and feel good on the dance floor. They are spray painted black from my past competition days.

Now that I have started this new adventure into adult clogging, it makes me think back on the days that I used to clog. I went through some old pictures and found some of my very first clogging costume, as well as a picture of my competition costume when I was a little older. There were several other costumes in between and after these, but these are the two most memorable.

This is me in my very first clogging costume in Sharpsburg, GA. Wow. That was a long time ago. Anywho...I loved this costume because it had the frilly pink to-to type thing underneath. Twirl, twirl, twirl. I did many carnival, festival, and recital shows in this costume.

This is when I started fierce clogging competitions in Miami, FL. "Shake that body baby, Move your body" was our routine song. I remember the way being on stage getting ready to compete made me feel. Your heart is racing, your mind is thinking, "Will we win?", you are going over and over the routine in your mind. Then, when you walk on stage, everything stops and you DANCE!!! What an amazing rush of adrenaline.

I'm looking forward to future clogging performances as an adult clogger. Gold Rush in McCormick, SC in September 2010 will, as of right now, be my first public appearance.

Get your dancin' shoes on...until tomorrow...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 3

Hooray for Day 3! It has been a long day. I started the day back with my kindergartners from yesterday. Then, my day continued as I taught my wonderful 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in after school. I teach cooking as an enrichment class. I'm enjoying it and the kids seem to really love cooking. We're making BLT Hot Dogs on Thursday. Perhaps I will post a picture. You would think that my day would end with after school, right? Wrong. I was enlisted to babysit a rambunctious four year old. He definitely kept me on my toes for an hour or so. We played, watched Pink Panther, and then watched Whispers: An Elephant's Tale. My picture today is of Pink Panther. Why? You may ask. Well, it's because I haven't watched Pink Panther in a long, long, LONG time! We had Pink Panther projected onto the smart board, so it was like being in the movie theaters. Minus the popcorn and candy (which was needed because I was starving!) The theme song to Pink Panther is playing over and over in my head as I type this blog. Dun, dun-dun...

Pink Panther himself.

Ta-ta for now...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 2 of Project 365

Day 2 has been beautiful. Unfortunately, I couldn't spend all day outside because I had to teach a room full of kindergartners. They kept life interesting though. With the many "Miss Jennifer"s, Dr. Seuss stories, and basic addition facts, I was entertained by 15 five year olds. We went out to recess and I think I could have stayed right there on that bench in the Spring sunshine for hours. I could have daydreamed about laying in a hammock reading a wonderful Nicholas Sparks tale, of course, I would have daydreamed about all this if my full, undivided attention wasn't on my precious little kindergartners. Who wouldn't love being a teacher? I love it! Anywho...moving on. The random thoughts before this have nothing to do with my random picture of the day, but I thought I would share.

I actually have two pictures today. Both were taken from my car. Immediately after leaving school, I opened my sunroof to let the warm, inviting, Spring sunshine pour into my car. This feeling is one like no other. The wind is blowing through your hair, the sunshine is shining in without be obstructed by the glass of the windows. It's the feeling of pure freedom.

The view outside my sunroof.

That's me taking a picture!

Until tomorrow...

This is my wonderful life.

Day 1

I announced that I would be starting my Project 365 today. Well, that makes today Day 1. I would like to combine yesterday with today because I have taken numerous pictures the last couple of days that I would like to share with the virtual world.

Saturday, March 6, 2010

Today was a special day in which I was to go wedding dress shopping with my BFF, Kayla. (Side note: She is getting married June 12, 2010 and I'm the Maid of Honor {The MOH, if you will}) We started the day at David's Bridal trying on numerous wedding dresses. We didn't find one that we just fell in love with, so, of course, we did not make a purchase yesterday. However, one successful thing did come out of our trip to David's Bridal. Kayla decided on the Bridesmaid dress! I tried it on and I love it, so that's a plus. The day concluded with a friendly game of BINGO at the neighborhood Bingo parlor, Pop's. For me, this was my first time ever playing Bingo live at a Bingo parlor, so I needed lots of coaching (just ask Kayla). Our goal was to win the Coverall, which was $1000. Despite our best efforts, our goal did not pan out. However, we did win $100! Better than nothing.

This morning was absolutely perfect. It was not too cold, not too hot, but just right. Ok Goldilocks...get on with it. So, the weather was perfect for a stroll through the woods with my camera. Of course, I couldn't take a stroll alone, so my baby, who you will hear a lot about and see a lot of pictures of I am sure, Lexi, went with me. Lexi is a seven year old dalmatian. So, we went in search of some beautiful wilderness photos. This is what we got...

I love nature.

The bridge near our house. The creek is actually running due to all the rain we have had lately. You can hear the pretty trinkling sounds of Spirng.

The first butterfly I have seen this year. HELLO SPRING!!!

Lexi standing in the creek giving me her "I don't want my picture taken, Mom!" look. (She's camera shy sometimes.)

This is my wonderful life.

Project 365

I live a busy life. I enjoy reading others' blogs; therefore, I have chosen to start my own blog about the life of Jenn. My life may not be exciting all the time, but it certainly is a wonderful life. I have heard about the Project 365 that many bloggers are taking part in. Well, I've decided to join the realm of blogging by participating myself. Each day, I will post a random picture from the day. This will give all of you virtual viewers out there insight into a day in the life of Jenn. So, to start, I would like to say, "Welcome!"

This is me with my brother, Michael, at our very first Alabama football game back in October. I have found my new heaven on Earth. Where? You may ask. Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The thrill, the waves of crimson, the Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, Big Al. All of this comes together to give you a sense of tradition. You are in the midst of a football sanctuary. I have begun a countdown to the 2010 Football Season. Needless to say, Alabama football is a big deal in my life.

This is my wonderful life.
